-Circle Process/ Evaluating -

Many times in the workplace, frustrations occur. Frequently these frustrations are the result of an issue that negatively affects you and your co-workers. Because you are experiencing the issue, and you are the expert on our own work/process; who is better positioned to understand and improve the situation or eliminate the issue altogether? That’s right... you and your co-workers.

Problems and opportunities present themselves in many ways, but if no one is addressing them, you can take matters into your own hands by using Honda's NH Circle Process. At the completion of this module, you will have a better understanding of the basic steps of the NH Circle process and the different tools that can help you. In addition, we will review the Honda NA Supplier Evaluation Process.

-Creative Problem Solving-

What is creative problem-solving? Let's break it down into its separate parts and examine each independently. A problem is a gap between the current state and the desired state. Every problem has two common elements: an objective and obstacle(s).

Creativity is the process of generating new possibilities or alternatives; in particular, novel approaches that others haven't considered. Creative problem solving doesn't mean using a haphazard, random approach to solving the problem. Instead, it means using the techniques that increase the number and variety of ideas in order to generate the best possible solution to the problem. This class reviews the basic concept of creative problem solving and allows you to put them into practice by applying them to a multi-part case study
.

-Emotional Intelligence-

This emotional intelligence seminar emphasizes the practical application of EI concepts rather than just focusing on theory. Through your active participation, you will learn and practice the EI skills that are the core of achieving personal awareness, connecting with others, managing stress, engaging healthy conflict and collaboration, and exhibiting resilience and optimism.

-Leadership 101-

Being a leader inherently implies having a lot of responsibility. What that responsibility is can vary among leadership roles, but there are some universal ways to be a leader. Enthusiasm, having a vision, problem-solving, promoting teamwork, and delegating tasks are all forms of leadership, but may not come naturally to every leader.

This course will give you the tools you need to hone your skills as a leader, from earning trust and respect, to leading through crisis and creating a vision to share. As a result, you will have more confidence in your ability to lead, will inspire a more collaborative work environment, and will be able to lead through any situation.
